STEM for Kids

When: Fridays in April, May & June
Where: Kimbourne EarlyON
Who: Children 3 and older, their parents/caregivers
The April sessions will be held INDOORS at our 200 Wolverleigh Blvd site. Activities:
  • April 10th: A fun introduction to coding! The children will create their own dancing sequence using the concepts of coding. Lots of movement and fun are involved.
  • April 17th: DIY Sensory Bottles! The children will create their own sensory bottles using the materials provided, and they get to take them home, too! A great way to learn about weight, density, and fluid flow.
  • April 23rd: Bubble Dough! The children will use dish soap and cornstarch to make Bubble Dough. A fun way to learn about measurement, chemistry, and engage in tactile exploration!

The May & June sessions will be held outdoors in the garden area of our Kimbourne EarlyON site.

This STEM-informed program will help us make connections between the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math that we see every day and to which we can contribute our own ideas and understandings of our world. Lastly, and arguably most important considering the climate of the last three years, children will have the opportunity to engage with other three and four year olds, with whom they can develop meaningful relationships and lasting friendships.
