What is the KIMBOURNE PROGRAM EXPANSION project?

Formerly called the No Child Turned Away project, the Kimbourne Program Expansion will fund two additional mornings of play a week at our Kimbourne site, to supplement government funded programs during the cold winter months, which are usually at capacity.

The NO CHILD TURNED AWAY project last operated through the winter months of 2019-20, supported in part by proceeds of our most recent gala – DINER AFTER DARK! WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP to reinstate these additional program hours, and carry the project January through March 2022. Our 2020 event, Bubbles & Bowties (yes…think champagne bubbles!) was scheduled for October 24th, 2020 at the WorkAround. Sadly, we had to cancel this event.

Now that our programs have re-opened within our Covid response framework, it’s even more urgent that EECC reinstate the Kimbourne Expansion Project as soon as possible. Our in-person programs were closed from March 2020 to June 2021 and families have not received the supports they’ve been needing. Our programs are now operating at FAR LESS capacity, due to Public Health protocols.

All donations are put straight to work for children. We accept cheques and cash, too!
